We arrived in Idaho Falls a little before noon on the 3rd. Since we had arranged to get our new refrigerator on Monday, we stopped at the City park, South Tourist Park, and dumped our tanks and filled our fresh water - preparing to take the coach to our storage space for the weekend. Eagle Rock RV is very near the city park, so we decided to stop in on our way to the storage lot - just to touch base and verify that they would be ready for us on Monday. To our great surprise we discovered that the new fridge was there and they were prepared to do the install right there and then!
Here we are backed into the service bay while they prepare to remove the old refrigerator.
Before long they had the old fridge out of it's cabinet and the window removed from the driver's side of the coach. They had to pull the coach out of the bay in order to open the slide far enough to have the room they needed inside.
The old fridge came out fairly easily!
The new one went in the same way.
Sure looks like there was a lot less clearance when the new one went in! The good news is that it all happened without any problems.
It took 4 techs at Eagle Rock RV to "manhandle" the fridge into it's home. Be aware that Monaco "glues" the wood panels to the refrigerator doors - so they were very difficult to remove. Fortunately, our tech did a wonderful job of getting them off the old doors and on to the new doors.
We were so surprised to have all this done and be on our way in about 4 hours. These guys were great and we would recommend this business to all our friends - if you are ever in Idaho Falls and need repairs, call Eagle Rock RV and you won't be sorry.
A note about my Mom - She is at home now and doing as well as we can expect. She is very frail and has great difficulty breathing, even on oxygen. She is comfortable and not in any pain, so that is a blessing. I want to thank everyone one more time for offering your thoughts and prayers for her recovery. She and our entire family truly appreciate all your prayers - and believe that they have made a significant difference.
We will be here in Idaho Falls until the middle of August. If anyone will be passing near here, give us a call and we will find a way to get together.
