We made it safely to the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home Idaho. Our day started out overcast, but not too cold. We decided that this was a good time to check and top-off the air in the tires of the coach, and an hour later we were ready to pull out of our site! After another short stop at the main gate to top-off our propane ($1.75 a gallon), we were finally ready to hit the road - a little later than planned. We had showers off and on all day, but nothing bad. After another stop in Caldwell Idaho at the Flying J, we arrived at the base about 6:30pm. This base has a new main gate - NOT RV friendly at all!!! We scraped the rear tires a little, but no real damage. The FamCamp is nice, but they refuse to trim the trees! Every year we come here and every year we trim trees just to get parked. Today there were 4 sites to choose from - and none of them were clear of tree limbs - in fact the site we took we had to trim trees before we could BACK-IN to a pull-thru site! Regardless, we are safe for the night and after a run to the Commissary and BX tomorrow morning, we will be back on the Interstate heading for our storage space in Idaho Falls for about 3 weeks. Should be a busy time, stay tuned for updates.......
