Our first thought this morning is for everyone affected by the 9/11 disaster. If we were at "home" our American Flag would be flying proudly to honor the memories of all those who lost their lives and their family members - we all lost a lot that fateful day and we sincerely hope that no American ever has to live thru any other attack on our homeland. We also honor all of our Military Service people who defend us everyday wherever they may be serving - without them protecting us we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms that we do as Americans. We are truly a blessed Nation, regardless of any problems that we endure.
After a good day of "quality shopping" at the large Naval Base here, we returned to Pio Pico to enjoy the beautiful sunshine, magnificent Live Oak Trees and gentle breezes with 80 degree temps - truly a very relaxing atmosphere!
A little Vino and Dinner on the Barbie - life is good today! More shopping and a Doctor's appointment - then we can escape to our "little Piece of Paradise" in South West Arizona - I can't wait!
