Check-up on the damaged "wing".....

Today was the first check-up since the big cast was put on Andy's arm. It was interesting - the nurse took this big cutting tool and proceeded to cut the cast off. A little scary, but good at the same time.

The arm looked pretty good for being encased in the cast for three weeks. To say the least, Andy was very happy to have his arm back!

Good riddance!!!!!!!

Well, as you can see, the arm's freedom was short lived! The good news is that it is a smaller, softer cast. The not so good news is that the x-rays showed that the fracture of the Scaphoid actually got worse! It is separating rather than mending. The bottom line is that we have an appointment with the Orthopedic Surgeon tomorrow. He will determine if a pin will be required or just another big cast for a few more weeks. Stay tuned........
