The adventure began at o'dark thirty on Tuesday morning. The first flight out of Las Vegas is 0600 and Andy was dropped off at about 0430 to insure getting thru TSA and to the gate in time. To no avail - did not get on that flight or the next one! Best alternative (with guidance from Andy's Son AJ) was to travel to Memphis TN - then it would be easier to get to Atlanta GA. That worked with about a 2 hour layover in Memphis, so Andy was safely in Atlanta GA before this day was too far gone.
Wednesday was the day that the majority of the "Birthday Group" was flying to Cabo San Lucas Mexico. This flight went off without any hitches - in fact Mr. Andy was able to fly 1st Class! Apparantly, arrival at the airport in San Jose went well and the trip (about 1 hour) to the resort was also uneventfull.
This is the Villa across the street from the one Andy stayed in. He says it is identical to the one he stayed in.
The view from the back of his Villa - The front pool is the "hot tub" and the second pool is their "private" infinity pool for their Villa. Notice the beautiful view all the way to the Pacific Ocean!
This is the back of the Villa - three bedrooms with the master suite on the second floor. The patio and pool looks great!
Checking out the "private" pool at the Villa....
Enjoying the good life!!!!
The PARTY begins! Not sure if this is the Wobble or just old fashioned dancing....
More Party......
Still more Party - this was the first of a few parties..... Sure looks like they are all having a great time!
Main Resort looking from the main pool complex. The Villa's are further up the hill and not real near to this area. The entire complex is huge and very beautiful. The people who came as couples had to attend a "sales pitch" - sounded like it started out around $30,000-$40,000 to buy in and ended up with "will you take it at $13,000?" Might be a good deal if you like traveling to Mexico!

The two level pool looks very inviting!
The "swim-up bar" - a nice refuge in the hot weather!

The Cabo Bash was a huge success. The return trip to Atlanta for Andy and some of the other guests turned out to be not so unenventful. The flight was diverted just before arriving in Atlanta and had to land in Montgomery Alabama due to lightening in the Atlanta area. Because this was an international flight and Montgomery has no customs, everyone had to stay on board the plane and just wait until they could proceed. About two hours and the plane was cleared to proceed to Atlanta. Long story short, Andy finally made it back to Las Vegas on Wednesday. I am sure that everyone who was part of the celebration made many wonderful memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIANNA!!!
