A little more progress.....

First thing this morning the Roofers showed up. They made quick work of placing the 40# Moisture Barrier Felt on the slanting portion of the roof.

As soon as the Felt was laid, work began on the stairs. It took them most of the morning to just cut and nail all this "flashing". A layer of the mat material, shown in the large white roll in the second picture, was then layed on the stairs and then covered with a coat of "something".

Here we are at the end of another day of construction. The changes aren't as apparant now as they were in the beginning. Sometimes the pictures don't really show how much they accomplished in a day. Now we have lots of waiting for actual paint to dry. The roofing system that is being put on the deck and stairs consists of several coats of "stuff" that has to dry thoroughly before another coat can be applied. More progress scheduled for tomorrow - The garage door is due to be installed complete with the opener! A new toy to play with......
