We were fortunate to be able to get to watch the Charger’s play yesterday with the Titan’s in Nashville Tennessee. The game was only broadcast on the NFL Network outside of San Diego (can’t figure out why) - We were very happy to learn that we actually can get that channel on our DirectTv! It was pretty much a blow out and the Charger’s WON!!!!! They have clenched their Division and earned a first round bye - all wonderful news for us Charger Fans. I won’t bother to mention that the Titan’s kind of shot themselves in the foot and pretty much gave the game to San Diego - we hope that San Diego doesn’t count on the Redskin’s doing the same next week! In any case, we are happy campers enjoying the Charger’s success.
Since we returned from our trip to San Diego, we have both been fighting some pretty bad colds. We lost a few days just trying to get well, but most of the rest of our time has been spent putting up shelves, building a workbench and moving “stuff” from the gazebo and shed into our new building. As soon as the drywall was installed in the front part of the building, we got busy. It looks a little messy now,but once we get everything organized we should be set. At this point we are under the gun to get everything out of the gazebo and shed and those structures taken down so our new construction can begin. The Building Inspector’s here in Yuma County are kinda picky about how much stuff (structures, permanent or not) is on the lot during construction. After we pass the final inspection they seldom come back to check on new stuff that is not permanent. Our shed and possibly the gazebo may just find their ways back after all the construction is done. While they are building --- we can be organizing!
We wish everyone a wonderful New Year’s Eve and a fantastic 2010!!!! We will be spending another quiet evening sharing some champagne and watching the ball drop in New York! We are looking forward to watching the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day and enjoying our traditional meal of Ham, Black-eye Peas, Yams, Collard Greens, and whatever else we can figure out. Last year we had a gathering and we will miss having one this year - maybe we will get some surprise visitor’s again this year?????
