Update from the Desert South West.....

I know it has been awhile since my last post - we have been really busy since our return to our Winter Home Base. We still have lots of little projects on the "to do" list, and we will get to them eventually. In the mean time we are really enjoying being back in the desert.

Another beautiful sunset!

After getting our new TV for the room, we needed an antenna on the roof to pull in the over-the-air local channels. This looks rather strange, but it works terrific! The closest TV tower is 37 miles to the North West of the town (seems a little strange - but it is true) and this little thing pulls it all in beautifully!!!

The water quality here leaves much to be desired. It smells and tastes ok, but we are told that it contains huge amounts of sodium - something us older folks just can't tollerate! We had been buying bottled water to make coffee, cook and drink, but now with the fridge that makes ice we needed a continuous source of good water .... so we had a small Reverse-Osmosis system installed. All I can say is that it was well worth the cost - the water tastes absolutely delicious! The system takes up much less room than I thought it would.
