Our good friends Dottie & Lew Anderson returned from attending his High School Reunion in Mesa to spend a few more days with us before returning to San Diego. Their friends from a Habitat for Humanity build in Oregon joined us for dinner this night. Pictured are Me, Andy, Tom, Marion, Lew & Dottie. We had a wonderful reunion and everyone enjoyed each other. The rest of the week was full of work and play time - and we were sad to see Dottie and Lew leave this morning. We will miss them being here with us - but have no fear, they will return!
The first project of the week was planting our new flag pole. With the hole already dug, Andy & Lew made a good team mixing cement, filling the hole, centering the receiving pole and finishing it all off. This flag pole won't be moving anytime soon - it took 8 - 60# bags of redi-mix to fill it in! I think it could probably withstand a hurricane. They even ran out of cement and had to make a really quick trip to the local hardware store for more before the first part set up.

5 days later and our flags are being proudly flown over our little piece of paradise! They will fly 24/7 while we are on the lot - even though there is only a Navy flag flying, we also honor everyone who has or is now serving in our military protecting us and our great nation.
Lew made arrangements for a local mobile wash company to come out and clean our coaches up. Three guys and a pickup truck with a large tank of good water showed up and they got busy. They did a great job scrubbing the roof and all over the coach - then they washed our cars also! The wheels and tires looked brand new when they left. About a half hour later, the wax guy showed up and by this time we were tired just watching them all work. A couple beers later and we were happy to just kick back and enjoy the show!
By the time he was done waxing and buffing, it was like looking into a mirror! Absolutely beautiful....
Both of our coaches were done this day. Here is the Anderson's coach partway done with the application of wax. These guys were great and the price was definently right! It took this one guy 3 hours to wax each coach - no breaks! We are all very happy relaxed campers now.... time for a nap! It is hard work watching these guys work so hard......
Read - then work (amazing)! The last project before the Anderson's departed for soggy San Diego was for Lew to install his new motion detector porch light. I didn't try to get a photo at night, but it was really bright and came on when any movement was detected - looks like one of these babies may be in our future also!
