After closing up and securing the Lot, we traveled North to Lake Havasu City Arizona to visit with friends before continuing on our Summer Trip.
We got assigned a wonderful site! This is the view out of our windshield - the lake is beautiful!
Our second day in Lake Havasu was spent out on the lake with our friends Shirley & Willie Hardy on their boat. We were joined by our friend Marge McKay. Marge has her own boat, but today we all go together with the Hardy's. This area of the lake is called "Steamboat".
Normally very crowded, we were able to get a great spot on the sandy beach to pull the boat in and set up a shade canopy. This is one of the many developed sites on the lake which includes restrooms and camping sites with a sandy beach. Being back in a cove, we were protected from the wind and noise of the boats on the lake. We enjoyed some great snacks and of course lots of ice cold beer! The water was very refreshing!!!
After a wonderful afternoon on the lake, we headed to the "Turtle Bar" for some late lunch. Pictured is Marge, me, Andy, Shirley and Willie. This restaurant/bar has a large sandy beach and some great docks where you can pull your boat in while you enjoy some food and beverages. Again, this spot is usually extremely crowded, but this day has been very laid back on the lake with lots of room to spread out and enjoy.
Our second day on the lake began with breakfast at the local Golden Corral - very yummy and a great way to start the day with lots of friends. Our friends Flor & Ron Pratl and two of their grandkids, Glory and Christian, arrived to spend time with all of us. Pictured here is Shirley, Flor, Willie and Ron. Kind of hard to see, but this spot didn't have a sandy beach, so the tree was our source of shade!
Glory and Christian are cooling off in the cove we were beached in. This was Saturday of Father's Day weekend and the lake was very crowded. We roamed around for way over an hour before we lucked on this cove with a place to land the boat. No sandy beach, but not too bad - very secluded and quiet. We all floated around to cool off and then enjoyed a wonderful snack of Fried Chicken and Hawaiian Rolls.

The channel was quite crowded. You never know what you might see along the shoreline. I cannot post any of the racey or obscene things we may have seen this day.
The 5 days we spent in Havasu with our friends was wonderful! We are already looking forward to another visit before too long. For now it is "on the road again" for us!
