After a week of fun & games in the Eugene area - mostly at the Cummins Northwest Coach Care facility, we are now safely parked at the Thousand Trails Preserve in Bend/Sunriver Oregon. We will be here for 9 days - way too short. Our site is beautiful, but this park on the whole needs to do some trimming of trees along the roads. Even though it looks like we have lots of room, we had a horrible time getting in without scraping up the coach. I guess that is part of the "fun" of traveling in a motorhome!
There is still quite a bit of snow left on the Sisters - Batchelor is getting a little bare, but the Sisters and most of the other big mountians in the Cascades still have significant snow. Very pretty indeed!
During our stay we spent most of our time with friends and Yuma neighbors, Ken & Nita. We enjoyed numerous "Happy Hours" at their home in La Pine. This evening we are celebrating both Andy and my birthdays (a little late since they were both in May) at the Tumalo Feed Company just North of Bend. Ken & Nita were gracious hosts and we all had a wonderful meal and made great memories with good friends. Sadly it is time to leave and continue our Summer adventures.
