Every Tuesday, at either the Rogue Ale House or the Rogue Brewery, if you wear a Hawaiian shirt - you get a free beer of your choice! This is the second Tuesday we have taken advantage of this wonderful freebie. In this photo Andy has a Double Chocolate Porter and I have the delicious John-John Hazelnut. We will miss Rogue when we have to leave Newport.
After enjoying our beers and some yummy appetitizers, we ventured out onto the Jetty to check out the channel. The further we went the foggier it got until we lost view of the bridge entirely.
The boats leaving the harbor were hard to see thru the fog - I sure wouldn't be heading out to sea in all that fog! Looking to the beach, it was hard to even see the waves. We decided it was time to go back into the sun.
On the way back to the RV park, we stopped again at the State Park. We were determined to see the waves on the beach. We climbed the dune and looked to the sea - it was foggy here also, but we trudged toward the waves anyway. We found many people actually in the water - I guess it doesn't matter that it was foggy and cool - Summer is the time to get wet regardless of the weather!
OK, time to trudge back to the car - soft sand is difficult to walk in and the hill seemed higher from this side.
It really is sunny - the fog is always a short way away, but it is sunny enough to leave shadows!
Back at the coach, doing chores we discover that a temp of 65 degrees becomes quite warm when the humidity is almost 100%! We both get hot and sweaty as we begin the job of packing up to leave in the morning. Oregon weather is quite weird!
