We have made it safely to Coburg Oregon. To our great surprise we found rigs parked at the "Old Camp Monaco" on the factory grounds. Since Monaco Coach Corporation is/was in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, we just assumed that they would take away the benefit of us staying on the factory grounds with 50 amp electricity and water with a dump station on-site - for free. We pulled in to unhook the Jimmy and the Monaco Security was there in "two shakes of a lambs tail", so to speak. We told him that we had an appointment across the street at Cummins on Thursday and he said we could stay at Monaco at least until then! Monaco Coach Corporation was recently puchased/acquired by Navistar (who ever they are) and we have had hopes that they would re-open the Monaco factory here in Coburg that has been closed since March (for real) but actually since before Christmas. Maybe this tiny piece of "goodwill" for customers means that Monaco will not disappear, but become a division of Navistar? We are hopeing hopeing hopeing!!!!
Tomorrow morning we are meeting with an old RV friend, Carol Foster, for breakfast at the Coburg Cafe. We have known Carol and her late husband Jack for many years and always look forward to getting together with her when we are in the Eugene area.
Wednesday will be a day of "shopping" - Oregon has NO Sales Tax so we usually have a list of "wants" that we fulfill when we are here. Thursday we have an appointment at the Cummins Coach Care for our yearly maintenance stuff. The rest of our time here is not planned out yet, but hopefully we will accomplish everything that we need to do. Stay tuned.....
I will likely not post much until something happens or we move or our plans change. The weather is absolutely wonderful here - maybe a little cooler then what we have grown used to. That is OK cause we are RV'ers and we are FLEXIBLE and ADAPTABLE!!!!

Enjoy the summer and don't haul too much back to your "little piece of heaven". Will see you guys in Nov/Dec as have to be at the dentist when we get back south.
Actually Navistar is the parent of International Trucks and Workhorse. Their Workhorse division is in Elkhart. They say they will start building motorhomes under HR and Monaco names in June. Speculation is where they will be built. Best guess would be in Indiana since that is where they are located.
