Another week .... Another RALLY!!!

After a wonderful rally in Salem with Monaco International, we caravaned across the beautiful Cascade Mountains to Redmond Oregon. Our second rally is the 84th International Convention of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) - another big club that we belong to. We started out early in Salem lining up for the caravan in a light mist, which turned into rain for about the first 30 miles of our journey. In years past we have made this identical caravan with well over 300 coaches making the trip across. This year we had a total of 32 coaches ... a little depressing. The same is true of our rallys of the past having well over 700 coaches in attendance ... this year we had 204 coaches in Salem .... quite sad, but I guess it is just a sign of the times.

We, 3 of the 32, are settled in the Full-Generator section of the Deschutes County Fairgrounds. Pictured here are Lew & Dottie Anderson, Bob & Maribel Clerc, and ourselves. As you can see we are kind of out in the middle of nowhere - just where we all like to be. Unfortunately, this lot and all the rest of the lots here will be filling up and we will be slightly crowded. Hopefully this rally will have a good attendance - otherwise it appears our glory days of rallying will be disappearing! More later as we check out this rally.

Well, that is 3/7th of the West Coast Gang back together. Wish we could have made it 4/7th. It is HOT here in Oklahoma (the center of the universe) and rain is not something we've seen in a while. Oh well, I've always thought brown grass was pretty.
