Quartzsite - Day 2

Day 2 of this years "Quartzsite Experience" begins with a relaxing morning sleeping late, sipping hot coffee around the fire ring and visiting - it was time to get busy and finish setting camp up. The "pop-up" canopy doesn't just "pop up" - it is a real bear to get up, but worth the effort if the winds start blowing. As you can see everyone is intent on getting done - nobody had time to stop and smile for my camera!

Almost Beer-thirty time! Lot of hard work and camp is almost set up. Time to kick back and enjoy this awesome weather! We have enjoyed temps into the 80's, bright sunshine and gentle breezes - not like the usual weather we have here in January. We are so happy we don't know what to do with ourselves. We are sorry we left all the shorts in Yuma!

The new ATV of the desert - these little Ultra-Lights take off and land just about anywhere. Sure looks like fun - these guys are like little boys with their big toys!

This evening we had our own "private" air show - these three ultra-lights did circles around out camp for quite a while before taking off to see the sights.

The moon came up early this evening - almost a full moon and absolutely beautiful. By dark it is bright a day here in the desert - life is definitely good!
