Farewell to fair Yuma and Hello to Indian Waters RV Resort in Indio California! It was tough to cut the roots that have grown in Yuma, but once on the road we remembered why we are full time RV'ers!
Every year at this time we try to attend the Western Area Family Motor Coach Association rally in Indio California. This is the first rally of the new year and our first chance to see the Vendors and lots of old and new friends.

The past few years that we have come to Indio for this rally, there has been a gathering organized at one of the local restaurants. The restaurant is the LampPost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery in La Quinta, a neighboring town to Indio. The food is great and the Beer is even better! It is always a great way to get together and re-connect with old friends and meet new friends. It was a wonderful gathering - My thanks go out to Bob Rea for taking such good pictures and then posting them on Facebook so I could swipe them!
At every FMCA Area Rally, they have a parade reflecting the theme of the rally. This rally has a theme of the "Old West" - take a peek at a bunch of old folks having a great time! This was one of the very best parade's we have witnessed! They throw candy and just let me say that we came back with a very large bag of some great candy!
Just a few pics of the wonderful parade. These people take their parade very seriously - it is a big honor for them to win a trophy for their club. The member chapters really out-did themselves this year!
This rally ends tomorrow and Monday morning a group of us will head to Quartzsite Arizona for the yearly mass migration of motorhomes. It is dry-camping in the desert with lots of great fellowship with several of our good friends. Yuma calls, but will have to wait another week.
