Day 2 - A little more progress.....

This day dawned bright and sunny with very little breeze - quite a change from 12 hours ago when we were in the middle of a rather strong rain storm. The ground was a little wet, but not soggy or muddy - so digging should be easy for the workers. We received a call from our General Contractor saying that the Concrete Contractor would be here by noon to begin setting the forms for the foundation. Once again we are excited to get going.

Finally at about 1:30pm, our Concrete Contractor showed up! They proceeded to get busy setting out lines for the concrete forms. They dug a little and set two boards, packed up and left. Not exactly what we had expected for this day.

The day is done for the workers at about 2:30pm. They claim that they can't do anymore until the Plumber and Electrician does some stuff - and the permits are issued. That sounds to me like this is where we might be sitting at the beginning of next week. The permits should be issued by Friday, as there hasn't been any questions so far. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, so likely there will be no work done that day anyway. We can only hope that the Plumber and Electrician show up on Friday and finishes their stuff so the Concrete Contractor can get started for real on Monday morning. Frustration is once again setting in - all will be done in it's own time. I guess getting frustrated won't help anything or anybody.

Stay tuned......

What is that directly behind your fence? Does your neighbor operate a hotel? That thing looks huge.

Hard to be patient isn't it but as you say it will be done in due time and better results if nothing is rushed.

Raining in Desert Hot Springs too so just mostly hunkered down in the coach watching movies as the rain affects the satellite dome.

Enjoy watching the progress.
