Father's Day Picnic - in the rain!

This afternoon, the skies clouded over and the weather radio went crazy with a Tornado Watch and Severe Thunderstorm Watch for our part of the country. The wind whipped up and the thunder and lightening - and small hail this time - caused us to scurry under cover!

Our good friends, Lew and Dottie Anderson decided that this weather wasn't going to stop them from hosting a picnic! We bravely loaded in our car and went over to their site in the same park we are in. We huddled under their awning and passed the time while the storm passed over us. Soon, the skies cleared a bit and the wind calmed down. We, and his neighbors Chris and Keith (not pictured), enjoyed a wonderful meal of delicious sweet corn and brats off the grill!

After a wonderful, beautiful, perfect "SILENT" night, this morning dawned bright and sunny - with the promise of good weather for most of the rest of the week to come.
