This little unassuming local bar and grill is one of our favorite places to visit. Lee and his wife Sherry moved from San Diego several years ago looking for a better place to live. Lee was a Merchant Marine Captain for most of his life and when he retired from that he just wanted to get away from the sea - I guess. He had a dream of owning his own Bar and Grill, and his wife wanted to run a B&B - so this was a perfect spot for them. The Sweetgrass B&B is Sherry’s baby and Shipwreck Lee’s is Lee’s baby. For good measure they also have a small RV park on their property. They are located South of Rapid City on U.S. 16 which leads right up into the Black Hills and all the attractions there in.
Wednesday night is the regular time to gather here for Burger’s and Beer! They make wonderful Burger’s and the Beer - Amber Bock - is the best! Here we are with the Anderson’s and Lee enjoying some conversation before our meals arrived. Next Wednesday we will for sure be back again - probably before!
